Also, many of you have sent us photos and those are posted as well – look at each sport landing page and you will find the photos.
We have some – mostly women’s – great orange event shirts – "10 years and still playing" – available for sale at $5.00 each if they are picked up at our Palo Alto office or $10.00 if you request mailing. Send us your information.
Here is one of my favorite comments…."Thank you for sending my 3rd place medal for the Discus event at Track and Field on May 29, 2016. As a first-time competitor, it was a wonderful experience for me: and I look forward to continuing to participate in future Senior Games."
Finally, we continue to discuss the feasibility of organizing the ENCORE Games – a second chance to qualify for the 2017 Summer National Senior Games.. As I mentioned to many who asked, the issue is raising enough money to bridge the gap.between athlete fees and the cost of producing the games.. Looking for $15,000 –any ideas? Crowd funding?
In the meantime, best to all. Have a wonderful summer… let’s all keep playing..and cheering for our athletes in Rio!
In the spirit of the Games…
