2013 Race Walk Information
The race walk events will be part of the larger track and field meet. The 1500m walk, the third event of the track meet, will be judged under USATF race walk rules (with the exception that there will be no DQ board, because that is not practical in a race this short). The 5000m walk, the last event of the meet, will be monitored to catch athletes blatantly running, but will not be judged specifically for race walk technique. For athletes new to race walking, for those would like to learn more about the sport, and for those who are interested in some guidance on technique, Art Klein will be giving a brief clinic before each event.
