Tournament competition:
- 8 Teams – A Pool, B Pool
- Pool games – Each team plays one game against the other 3 teams in the pool –
- 12 games x 25 min game + 5 min HT = 6 + Hrs
- Playoff games – Winner of A Pool plays Winner of B Pool. 2nd place vs 2nd place, etc.
- 4 games x 40 min game + 5 min HT = 3 + Hrs
Team Configuration:
- 25 players per team
- Over 50 ID required.
Rules:
- Regular rugby rules +
- Uncontested scrums
- No kicking outside the 22 meter line.
- No Conversion kicking.
Level of player experience – Most players will have 25 to 45 years of experience. At least 5 years experience required.
Organizers Level of Experience Frank Merrill - Over 33 years playing experience (Organizing experience: Former USA Rugby VP, Board member, presently Congress member, PAXO Olde Blacks VP, NCAA tournament finals (5+ yrs), Quincy Rugby Fest (13+ yrs), PCIT tournament (5+ yrs), Organized multiple PAXO tours (foreign and domestic), etc.
Bob Benson (Bense) - Over 33 years playing experience (Organizing experience: Former Harvard Business School Rugby Club President, Harvard Business School Rugby Club President, Coach - Peninsula Green HS Rugby Club, NorCal Youth Rugby Association Board member, NCAA tournament finals assistance (3+ yrs), Organized multiple HBSOB, PAXO-OB tours (foreign and domestic), etc.
Gary Nutz (Huey) - Over 33 years playing experience (Organizing experience: PAXO Olde Blacks VP, NCAA tournament finals assistance (3+ yrs), Golden Oldies participant (8+ yrs), Organized multiple PAXO-OB tours (foreign and domestic), World traveler, etc.
Referees - All certified referees: NorCal, Some Pacific coast referees, possibly some National level referees.
